Saint Muirgen 

"Li Ban's  Lagoon"

Li Ban's Lagoon is a crafted tea in honor of Ireland's Blessed Feast Day of St. Muirgen, The Mermaid Saint. The tale of Muirgen says that her village was swallowed in a flood and Muirgen and her dog dove into the waves where they found a cave. The cave became the temple of her grieving the loss of her family. This was the place of her transformation of becoming a mermaid and her dog an otter. They became shapeshifters taking a new form to express their new identity and journey to the underworld. She was later found by monks because of her beautiful singing, they then made a saint and given the name Muirgen. 

Muirgen means 'of the sea', Li Ban is of old Irish meaning 'beauty' and 'woman'.
